MECKaFLEX

MECKaFLEX is a 0.15 µm GaN/SiC based High Power, packaged, Ka-Band MMIC Amplifier. Operating in the 17.2 – 20.2 GHz Satcom band, it provides a peak linear power of 5 Watts, at 3 dB of back-off from the 10 W saturated power, with NPR level of 15 dB and PAE of 23%. When operating at the maximum efficiency point, the MECKaFLEX can deliver a power of 9 W with a PAE of 27% and a Power Gain of 18 dB.

Furthermore, the MECKaFLEX provides the flexibility to adapt the linear output power to the actual needs, with a variation in the range 1 W to 5 W, maintaining a good level of efficiency.

The amplifier is provided in a 6×6 QFN38L plastic package and is fully matched at 50 ohms with DC blocking capacitors on the input and output ports.

Tests

We have developed an in-house Engineering Laboratory with the capability to carry out small-signal and large-signal measurements up to 50GHz.
